The following questions can be asked to see if you are suffering from hearburn/acid reflux. If you have one or more of the following symptoms then you may benefit from heartburn or acid reflux relief.
Does it feel like there is something stuck in your chest such as food or some sort of blockage?
Is there a burning pain in your chest going up from your stomach to your mouth?
Does the burning sensation or pain get worse when you lie down, bend down or eat?
At night time does the pain get worse?
Does eating make you feel sick?
The following symptoms are less common but can also be an indicator that you have heartburn:
Have you thrown up any food (been sick)?
Do you have a cough?
Are you experiencing hiccups?
Has your voice changed or become more hoarse?
Is your throat sore?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions then you may have acid reflux.
If you have severe chest pain or any of these symptoms are especially bad you should see a doctor or go to the hospital immedietly, chest pain can also be an indicator of much more serious medical conditions such as heart disease or blood problems.
